Community Initiatives
Football for All
Odisha FC is committed to using football as a tool for social change. Our "Football for All" program provides free coaching, equipment, and nutrition to children from underserved communities across Odisha. Since its launch in 2020, the program has reached over 5,000 children, with many showing promise for future professional pathways.
We partner with local NGOs and government schools to identify talent and promote gender equality in sports. Special women's football clinics are held monthly, encouraging female participation. The club also organizes health check-up camps and educational workshops for participants and their families.
Our annual "Kick for Hope" tournament brings together teams from rural areas, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition. Winners receive scholarships and opportunities to train at our academy. The program has been recognized by the All India Football Federation for its impact.
Environmental Sustainability
As a responsible organization, Odisha FC champions environmental causes. We have implemented a zero-plastic policy at Kalinga Stadium, with biodegradable alternatives and recycling bins throughout the venue. The club also plants 100 trees for every goal scored at home matches, contributing to local reforestation efforts.
Our "Green Matchdays" initiative encourages fans to use public transport or carpool, with discounts for those who do. Solar panels installed at the training ground generate renewable energy, reducing our carbon footprint. We collaborate with environmental agencies to organize beach clean-ups and awareness campaigns.
Looking forward, we aim to make Kalinga Stadium India's first carbon-neutral sports venue by 2025. This includes water harvesting, waste-to-energy conversion, and sustainable sourcing for all club merchandise. Our players actively participate in these initiatives, serving as role models for the community.
